2025 Self-Care Trends to Try Now – A Personal Note from Abhilasha Belure
Hello my dear ones,
I want to begin with a warm hug — because if you’re reading this, I know somewhere in your heart, you’re seeking a little peace, a little balance, and maybe, a moment just for yourself.
Life is running fast. Between work, family, responsibilities, and endless to-do lists, we forget the most important person — ourselves. But this year, in 2025, I’ve promised myself one thing — to come back home to “me” every day, even if for just 10 minutes. And I want to take you along on this journey.
So today, I’m sharing some beautiful and simple self-care trends of 2025 that I’m personally trying — and I invite you to try them too. Ready?
---
1. Emotional Journaling (Even 5 Minutes Count)
Not long essays. Just one page every night.
Write how you feel, what hurt you, what made you smile, or just write: “Today was hard, but I made it.”
Trust me, it heals.
---
2. Slow Mornings Instead of Scroll Mornings
Before checking WhatsApp, Instagram or emails…
Try this:
Sit on your bed.
Take 3 deep breaths.
Say one thing you’re thankful for.
Your mind will say, “Arre, time nahi hai!” — But tell your mind: “I’m not wasting time. I’m investing it in myself.”
---
3. Digital Detox Sundays
One day. No screen. No stories. Just real connections.
Spend time with your kids, parents, plants, or even just with yourself.
Silence is not boring — it’s where we hear our soul.
---
4. “Feel Good” Movement – Not Exercise for Punishment
Forget “weight loss” or “10,000 steps.”
Dance to your favorite 90s song.
Stretch while listening to the birds outside.
Walk barefoot on grass.
Move — not to change your body, but to thank your body.
---
5. Indian Rituals as Self-Care
This is my favorite.
Oil your hair while talking to your mom.
Apply ubtan and remember your grandmother’s glow.
Light a diya in the evening and just sit.
Our roots have the most powerful healing.
6. Say “No” with Love, Say “Yes” to Yourself
2025 is not about doing more. It’s about doing what matters.
So please — stop saying yes out of guilt.
Say yes only if your heart smiles with it.
Your time and energy are precious, my dear.
Final Thought:
I’m not perfect. There are days when I cry, when I feel lost, when I feel like I’m not doing enough. But every time I take a moment for myself, I find a little strength again.
So promise me something?
Just like we care for our loved ones, let’s promise to care for ourselves too.
Which of these self-care practices are you going to try first? Or do you have your own ritual? Share it with me in the comments – I’d love to read it.
With warmth and belief in your beautiful journey,
Abhilasha Belure
